The 1891 Run

Participate in the 1891 Run, a 5K Run/Walk event to support the historic Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center. The race takes place on Sunday, April 27, at 9 am, starting on Day St. between Lambert and Church Streets, and ending on Church St. in front of the Village Hall. The course includes portions of Temple St., Central Ave., Brigham Rd., and Ring Road on the SUNY Fredonia campus, and is flat and fast, with a short incline at the beginning. The course is USATF-certified as Course #NY17080JG. Registrants who sign up before April 15 will receive a T-shirt. Prizes will be randomly drawn from all registrants, and medals will be awarded to male and female finishers overall and in different age categories. Students under 21 can register for $15, while adult runners or walkers can register for $25 before race day or $30 on the day of the race. Armchair runners are also welcome to donate to support the Opera House. Bib and Swag Bag pickup will take place on Saturday, April 27, 9 am-noon, at the Opera House on 9 Church St. in Fredonia.
