The Opera House has partnered with the State University of New York at Fredonia’s School of Music to present a series of free-admission early evening recitals performed by the talented young artists studying there.
This series is a concert initiative created by Drs. Eliran Avni and Natasha Farny that provides students the opportunity to perform in off-campus venues to a wider audience. Recitals typically feature solo and small ensemble performances of music by both classical and contemporary composers. Recitals are 60 minutes long and provide an opportunity to hear some of our area’s incredible emerging artists in the intimate setting of the Opera House.
October’s recital is set to feature music by Jean-Baptiste Barriere, Béla Bartók, Beethoven, Chopin, Nikolai Medtner, Carolina Shaw and Julius Zellner, among others.
Admission is FREE, although donations are gratefully accepted
