WITH JAMES GEDEON

Friday, September 18, 2026 | 7:30 PM | General Admission

Canadian musician James Gedeon performs the music of James Taylor in this special tribute event.

Gedeon describes the concert as an intimate acoustic performance that brings audiences closer to the heart of Taylor’s timeless songs. With a deep reverence for the music, Gedeon presents each piece in its purest form, capturing not only the warmth and honesty of Taylor’s vocal delivery but also the intricate detail of his unique guitar style. Whether it’s the uplifting message of “Shower The People,” the inherent longing of “Fire & Rain,” or the celebration of “Your Smiling Face,” the result is an authentic, heartfelt experience that honors Taylor’s legacy, while inviting listeners to feel as though the music is being shared just for them.

Gedeon began honing his craft in New York City’s legendary Greenwich Village music scene during the 1990s, performing in storied venues such as The Village Gate, The Back Fence, and The Red Lion. It wasn’t long before he became known as a singer and songwriter whose warmth and authenticity could make even those in the farthest corner of a room feel like they were right up front.

His talent and stage presence have taken him to some of New York’s most iconic venues, including Le Cirque, The Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, and The Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom, where he performed as part of the opening band for Dan Aykroyd and The Blues Brothers at The Alzheimer’s Foundation Annual Fundraiser.

His music has traveled well beyond New York. Gedeon has performed at The Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, Flathead Lake Lodge in Montana, Mauna Kea Resort in Hawaii, The Ocean Club on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and even at The Royal Palace in Morocco.

As both a solo artist and collaborator, Gedeon has opened shows for America, The Marshall Tucker Band, Kenny Rogers, Jay Leno, Dana Carvey, and Livingston Taylor. He has performed with renowned musicians including guitarists Oz Noy and Bernie Williams, drummers Dave Weckl and Steve Holley, and saxophonist Mark Rivera (Billy Joel, Ringo Starr, Foreigner).

Among Gedeon’s most memorable performances was at the wedding of radio icon Howard Stern, where he performed three duets with Billy Joel. Later that evening, as part of the house band, he backed up Phoebe Snow and Pat Monahan of Train on their hits “Calling All Angels” and “Drops of Jupiter.”

Today, in addition to his solo work and touring with Coming Home: The Music of James Taylor, Gedeon tours nationally with “Taylor, Simon, King: A Celebration of Three American Troubadors,” honoring the timeless music of James Taylor, Carly Simon, and Carole King.

More than three decades after his first gigs in Greenwich Village, Gedeon continues to perform with the same passion, sincerity, and spirit that have defined his journey from the very beginning — creating moments of connection through music that feels both familiar and profoundly his own.
